Spirituality and economic development are two concepts that we do not generally associate. However, in recent decades, there has been a tendency in both theory and practice to consider spirituality as an essential component of development strategies. In this chapter, we will try to show how a spiritually oriented approach to international development can help to broaden and enrich the understanding of development problems.
