ABSTRACT

In the strategic management context, the strategic cube method is advanced toward unifying and integrating paradigm, for both classical and innovative methods, in reaching the competitive, sustainable, and regenerative advantage in qualitative and semiquantitative manner. In this regard, the algebraic and geometrical symmetry of matrix models specifies the cube (i.e., via transformations, as the rotations and reflections between the allowed strategic dots/states). The cube’s strategic potential is illustrated by the comparative analysis of Blue Ocean and Red Ocean strategies, rediscovering the diagnostic methods of the strengths–weaknesses–opportunities–threats (SWOT), respectively, the strategic force model in analyzing the generic competition after Michael Porter. Results show the cubic method has internal consistency, while revealing the strategically specific predictions and distinction in the approached cases; at the same time, it opens the possibility of extending the strategic analysis on the 3D networks level in business organizations.
