ABSTRACT

I get the same question, in some form, from the audience of virtually every presentation I give. ‘I understand that this lifestyle is something that works for some people, and that’s fi ne for them. But what gives them the right to choose this for their families? What about the kids?’ It can be framed as a hostile accusation, or compassionate curiosity. Reporters, students, colleagues, and friends: all of them display concern for the well-being of children in polyamorous families.
