ABSTRACT

The main research question presented in this book was “how to record 3D situations in cadastral registration in order to improve insight into 3D property situations.” To answer this question, this book was divided into four major parts. This chapter summarizes these parts and lists the main conclusions that can be drawn from the four parts:

• Analysis of the background (Section 12.1) • Technical framework for modeling 2D and 3D situations (Section 12.2) • Models for a 3D cadastre (Section 12.3) • Realization of a 3D cadastre (Section 12.4)

Based on the conclusions, recommendations for future directions and future research can be outlined. Section 12.5 contains recommendations for future directions toward a 3D cadastral registration. Section 12.6 lists the recommendations for future research. This chapter ends by summarizing the most important results of this research.
