ABSTRACT

Generally speaking, the investigations regarding cancer occur at two levels. One may be categorized as more of nonclinical research per se, that is, laboratory studies about cancer in all its aspects, particularly at the molecular and genetic levels. The other may be classified as clinical research, that is, the effect of various treatment protocols on the actual patient. From all this, hopefully, a best, or most successful, treatment protocol or protocols will emerge, to be put into routine practice.
