ABSTRACT

Chapter 5 described maturity models related to project management. Level 1 of that model is a “common language” for project management; Level 2 is “common processes,” which evolves to Level 3, “a singular process.” Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 described approaches for honing a singular process using PMI’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide). Judiciously applied, the SupplyChain’s SCOR-model and the CSCMP’s Process Standards, maintained by each organization’s members, supplement other procedures in this book. CSCMP boasts of participation by over 50 subject management experts in developing its Process Standards. A larger number of participants, myself included, have labored over the years on behalf of SCOR.
