ABSTRACT

Task Analysis (TA) can be considered to be one of the fundamental methods underpinning the successful application of Human Factors to system design and development. Recognising this, the UK MOD/Industry MANPRINT Consultative Working Group (a forum for the exchange of information between UK MOD and Industry concerning the use and application of the MANPRINT/Human Factors Integration programme in defence equipment procurement) organised a two-day Workshop "Task Analysis and MANPRINT". This meeting brought together experts in a variety of the disciplines that contribute to system development in order to discuss and analyse a number of key topics concerning TA and its relationship to the system design and development processes within defence equipment procurement.
