ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces America, its history, its people and their fundamental attitudes that continue to shape the country today. The US is known as a country of immigrants with people from around the world, along with itsoriginal population, Native American Indians, Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders and Alaskan natives, shaping the country and its style of business that we see today and immigrants from around the world. A few words and phrases convey the country’s spirit and core beliefs: Independence, Curiosity, Equality, Abundance, Change is Good, New is Better, Hard work, Failure leads to learning, Opportunity. These words capture the idea of the American Dream.
