ABSTRACT
With the benefits of the technology that the NHS is gearing up to deliver to frontline staff, we will find ourselves part of a virtual team (or e-team) with members located in different parts of the country, in different organisations, in different professional groups, but all working with the same individual patient. We already belong to different horizontal working groups – the same speciality – and wider professional groups or communities of practice. All these types of groups and teams are in the spotlight here.
