ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will investigate, discuss, and compare several signal processing techniques. We have already discussed in detail, the Fourier series and the Fourier transform techniques and have discussed the advantages of the technique. There are, however, situations where the standard Fourier technique either does not adequately yield the desired information or yields incorrect information. Under those situations, other special techniques are needed. We will discuss several of these special techniques including autoregressive (AR) modeling, time-frequency analysis, and wavelet analysis.
