ABSTRACT

The GaN-based ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UV LEDs) have attracted great interest in several applications, such as solid-state lighting, environmental protection, and medical equipment. There have been interests in solid-state lighting by using near-UV LEDs light for the phosphor converting source. In this chapter, these novel technologies could be effective for improving UV LEDs device performance in the future.
