ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a case study that provides a coaching journey of about six months with a senior executive leader in the Indian subsidiary of a North American technology multinational. This leader headed the company's regional research and development facility in India. The leader was a very experienced senior woman executive who had moved to India from North America. The leader faced a challenge for which coaching was suggested by her superiors abroad. She agreed to be coached for the first time. Ram Ramanathan is a leadership coach and trainer, and spiritual wanderer, blending eastern spiritual wisdom with modern psychological and neurobiological knowledge to create mindless awareness. With the agreement and commitment of the leader and the HQ team, coaching started with a team meeting of all 20 members of the leader's team. The outcomes of the meeting and the 360-feedback were reported to the leader's line manager and global Human Resources business partner.
