ABSTRACT
The use of solid sorbents to selectively concentrate trace levels (i.e., ppt-ppb) of volatile organic compounds from ambient air for analysis is a well-established technique. 1 - 3 Of the various collection sorbents in use, high sensitivities and comprehensive analyses can be achieved using the organic polymer adsorbent Tenax®, along with thermal desorption and high-resolution gas chromatography/mass spectrometry/computer (GC/ MS/COMP) analysis. 1 , 2
