ABSTRACT

Thailand represents over 500,000 km2 within the Indochina peninsula (15°0ʹ0ʺN, 100°0ʹ0ʺE) and is the home to more than 66 million people. The capital city, Bangkok, has over eight million inhabitants, and is situated on the delta of the Chao Phraya River. Weather conditions are best described by two seasons based primarily on rainfall: wet and dry. Because of the tropical conditions in Thailand, arthropods are numerous and active throughout the year.
