ABSTRACT

For each of the following people with HIV infection, select the most likely complication. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1. A 37-year-old man presents to the GP with lumps in his neck. He says that he had the flu last month and the lumps appeared only since then. He is otherwise well. On examination, cervical lymphadenopathy is palpable. A subsequent HIV test returns positive.
