ABSTRACT

The preceding quotation seems to fit the philosophy subscribed to by Lynn Luckow and many others writing in this book. Mr. Luckow states, “the most significant innovations are really being developed in organizations not academe.” He believes that very little new theory comes from the academic community and credits businesses with being the innovators. He is not alone in this belief. This anonymous quote is also something I have heard many students whisper. No matter who says it, I always have the same reaction: It sickens me and I could not disagree more with it.
