ABSTRACT

This book presented the advances that took place in thin-film solar

cells area, especially during the first decade of the 21st century.

All conclusions were made based on experimentally observed

results and their scientific interpretations. The main impact is from

the understanding of material issues and the underlying physics

behind these complex devices. Based on these results and new

understanding, this final short chapter presents new areas to focus

on, to progress in photovoltaic research and development.
