ABSTRACT
This review discusses radionuclide imaging of the thyroid gland to help in distinguishing malignant from benign thyroid nodules, followed by a discussion of radioiodine diagnostic imaging after thyroidectomy and in follow-up of thyroid cancer, and then by a review of therapy of thyroid cancer with radioiodine, using traditional as well as some promising new approaches.
