ABSTRACT

Public transit timetables constitute the most profound bridge between the transit agency (and/or the community) and the passenger seeking areliable service. Inadequate and/or inaccurate timetables not only confuse the passengers but also reinforce the bad image of public transit as a whole. There is a saying: “A stitch in time would have confused Einstein.” Along these lines, one can say that many stitches in atransit timetable would confuse those (the passengers) who want to use the service.
