My memoir, Renewal of Life – Healing from The Holocaust, was published in 2004 (Parens, 2004). I started writing on August 14, 2002, the sixtieth anniversary of the date when my mother was sent from Drancy to Auschwitz. Along with 1,014 other Jewish refugees who had sought asylum in France, she was programmatically massacred. Only one of her convoy survived.
