ABSTRACT
Mass transit railway services are instrumental in meeting the mobility and accessibility needs of the general public, and in supporting the demographic and economic development of a city, especially for transit-oriented metropolitan areas. Indeed mass transit railway projects are often a top contender of many cities to meet their increasing demand for travel. It is ideal if the services have not only affordable fares and expedient quality satisfactory to the public, but are also financially sustainable.
