ABSTRACT

Emotion regulation treatment of alcohol use disorders is recommended for people who frequently use alcohol to help manage their emotions, and have been experiencing problems as the result of their drinking. Chapter 2 provides information to clients about this workbook and how it may be used as a guide to behavior change. The workbook includes many helpful worksheets and practice exercises. The exercises can be modified or adapted to fit the client’s lifestyle. The important point is that clients try them out, find out what works best for them, and then Practice, Practice, Practice!
