ABSTRACT
Until today, the relationships between the world of spatial planners and that of landscape architects have been extremely dialectic. On the one hand has been the tentative ‘residual’ use of landscape experts (what should be done to prevent extreme events? What measures should be taken with a particularly valuable pocket?). On the other hand there has been a preventive war against any new use of open areas, without paying particular attention to possible alternatives.
