ABSTRACT

The team developed criteria to define high-quality written feedback and created a set of expectations in the form of an Innovation Configuration Map. Co-teaching encompasses two desired outcomes on the Innovation Configuration Map: one for Co-Teaching Model and one for Co-Teaching Equity. Instructional coaches at each school had been issued a small video camera and asked to collect co-teaching footage. The group donned their school operations hats and wondered aloud about personnel funding and push-in support. Principals started to "do the math" and were concerned about human capital equity between schools. All unequal groupings in co-teaching situations are not automatically the Alternative Teaching model. Combined with this budget pressure and learning about co-teaching was the required implementation of Response to Intervention (RtI) in Georgia. The choice of Station Teaching allows each adult to give immediate and direct feedback to each student in small group.
