ABSTRACT
What I did was this: I showed the audience two envelopes and ex plained that one of them contained a dollar bill and the other one was empty. To make it possible to deduce which envelope contained the bill, I had a sentence written on the outside of each envelope. I then said that if anybody could correctly deduce which envelope contained the dollar bill, then he or she could have the bill. However, for the privilege of being allowed to do this, I would charge 25 cents. Is anyone game?
