ABSTRACT

Two weeks after the arrival of the engineer the news of the possible destruction of the cemetery had spread and there was a general unrest that was almost tangible in the community. The uneasiness was especially felt around the cemetery, but it affected both communities of Ubuntuville. Like most local towns in South Africa, Ubuntuville consists of two separate communities: the white community, called the town, and the black community, called the township.
