ABSTRACT

Fourier transform IR spectra in attenuated total reflection (ATR) mode were recorded on an IR-Prestige 21 (Shimadzu) spectrometer with a spectral resolution of 8 cm−1 over the range of 4000-650 cm−1 and 32 scans. The spectrometer was equipped with a deuterated triglycine sulfate detector and a Pike Miracle ATR diamond cell with a single reflection (45°). An adjustable pressure system was used for solid samples; meanwhile, liquid samples were spread on the crystal. After measurement of the spectra, the remaining sample on the crystal was removed with a soft solvent wet paper. Background was collected for every sample before the acquisition with the same clean diamond cell. The final IR spectrum of each sample was the average result of three acquisitions.
