ABSTRACT
As I mentioned earlier, I was bored at home before my various jobs. I loved working for the Government Social Survey and was involved in many interesting surveys. I could not accept all of them though as I did not drive at that time so just took on surveys where I could rely on public transport. Mick was still working as a schoolteacher so could help with the children and we paid a neighbour to do some child minding. I went to evening classes to “keep my mind active” and tried drama, woodwork and sociology.
