ABSTRACT

In line with most things, technology is ever-evolving, and so is technologies inclusion within education. This chapter explores practical ways technology can be used within PE lessons to aid teaching and learning, and the role of a PE teacher. Advice is provided to ensure that any technology used within lessons is not to the detriment of learning, and ensuring that its use is not just a ‘bolt-on’ to teaching, but is embedded in the culture of a teacher’s practice. References are also made to school/department ICT policies to ensure that care and protection is considered when using technology within a school environment such as social media and sharing materials online.
