ABSTRACT
We are most accustomed to seeing images of Mahatma Gandhi from the period after he went to India and became involved in the home rule movement. In those pictures, he is typically shown wearing a traditional, minimalist outfit made of homespun cloth. Here, however, we see Gandhi in the Western clothes that he most typically wore while practicing law in South Africa.
