This chapter begins by comparing the present movement toward legalization with Prohibition, an act that was repealed after 13 years. What impact will legalization have for emotionally charged issues such as teen use? We will also look at what many of the proponents and opponents of legalizing marijuana are stating to justify their positions. Finally, we look at how much different—and the same—Colorado is since passing Amendment 64 in 2012.
