ABSTRACT
A long-time member of the Florida House of Representatives, Sam Mitchell of Chipley, Florida, told me, “Rural areas have very personable people and nothing takes the place of person-to-person contact in am election campaign in my district. At almost every crossroad, we have a political gathering. Entertainment would include music and plenty of fresh mullet. This kind of process really brings out my constituents for the ol’ fashion’ handshake. They like it and I love it!”
