ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we shall discuss how arbitrarily-shapedwave pulses can be built up as superpositions
of sinusoidal waves with a range of different frequencies and wavelengths. Conversely, we shall
examine how wave pulses can be resolved into their component sinusoidal waves.
