ABSTRACT

This chapter discussion begins with The Weathermen Projects , a series of works whose departure point are the counter-revolutionary US group the weathermen, who were active in the 1960s. The Weathermen Projects evoke the spirit of 1960s liberation movements, which could turn violent, as in the case of the eponymous US revolutionary group. Their subterranean plotting envisioned a form of radical opposition; yet effectively it operated from a micro-scalar level, in secrecy. The Weathermen movement from the sixties, the underground revolutionary group intent on overthrowing the American government, is deliberately referenced but acts as stand-in for a plethora of similarly intentioned and sometimes associated groups around the world at the same time; forecasters brewing the circumstances for possible futures in opposition to the prevailing conditions. The "doctor" in Weatherman Projects represents a shadow figure and was an amalgam of characters whose interrogations were open ended, possibly gratuitous and without moral imperative.
