ABSTRACT
Early years providers, schools and colleges should fully engage parents and/or young people with SEN when drawing up policies that affect them. Enabling parents to share their knowledge about their child and engage in positive discussion helps to give them confidence that their views and contributions are valued and will be acted upon.
