ABSTRACT
A good governing body needs to be a team in which all members contribute to its work. Creese (1995: 18) suggests that the following benefits ensue from good team work:
• help and support for team members • increased commitment from team members and a sense of ‘belonging’ • improved communication and coordination • opportunities for team members to learn from one another • increased enjoyment and satisfaction for the team members.
