DESCRIPTION

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are all great goals - but they do not support individual actors\\\' decisions. How can actors such as individuals, corporations, or authorities contribute to the success of the SDGs? I suggest the development of action principles for sustainability which reduce the complexity of the issues for individual actors but still contribute to the success of the SDGs. Such principles would be, for instance, \\\"Decarbonize!\\\" - which means to get rid of hydrocarbons in our energy systems, our transportation systems, our production and consumption systems etc. Another one would be \\\"Seek mutual benefit and win-win\\\". Given such principles are wisely chosen they can help coordinate multiple actors\\\' behaviour and facilitate the much needed transformation towards a more sustainable society.
