DESCRIPTION

The futures of education foresee many challenges, yet tremendous opportunities to achieve our Global Goal to offer a Quality Education for All as delineated by Sustainable Development Goal 4. From the unprecedented disruption during the pandemic, school systems have pivoted towards new ways of online teaching and learning. As we are still in the process of creating a valuable virtual environment, we are presented with the opportunity of offer K-12 education beyond our national borders. What if students could not only participate in the education in their own country but also choose to go to school in another country for a term or for a full programme? Is it time to question the traditional approach to schooling in a much broader way if students remain at home but no longer physically attend school in their neighbourhood or even their country?
