ABSTRACT

The intent is to raise awareness of two areas afflicting U.S. military veterans: transitioning into the civilian work sector after military service and anger expressions in the workplace. U.S. veterans have provided a great service to their country and bring valuable skills to the workplace, such as teamwork, attention to detail, adaptability, and performance under pressure. With veterans exhibiting higher levels of workplace engagement than their non-veteran counterparts, it is worth exploring the unique experiences of veterans. Insights gained may benefit organisations who employ a high number of veterans while providing direction for future interventions aimed at increasing support for service-connected individuals as they re-enter the civilian workplace.
