ABSTRACT
Classroom management includes all the strategies and activities that a teacher uses to guide student behaviour and support student learning (Emmer & Evertson, 2017). Classroom management has foundations in several different theories including: Behavior Modification theory, Group Dynamic theory, Choice theory, Discipline as Self theory, Congruent Communication theory, and Group Management theory. These foundational theories have led to the development of multiple models of classroom management that build upon concepts presented in one or more theories; models of classroom management include behavioural, ecological, process-outcomes, and self-regulating approaches to classroom management.
