DESCRIPTION

This video examines how best to teach climate change and the Anthropocene as historians. The Earth is currently experiencing catastrophic global climate change caused by human action in industrial societies, melting polar icecaps, raising sea levels, shifting ocean currents, and causing intense droughts, firestorms, and intolerable heat. Unless there is concerted action to reverse Greenhouse gas emissions, human civilization as we currently know it will be irreparably damaged. This video works as an interdisciplinary unit that combines science with social studies and advises lecturers and students on how become involved as active citizens promoting climate action through history.
