Critical Perspectives on Citizen Media
Critical Perspectives on Citizen Media engages with the complexity and diversity of citizen media, a young yet already established academic field located at the interface between different disciplines including media studies, sociology, translation studies, performance studies, political science, visual studies, and journalism studies. The series emphasises the importance of citizen media in the collective transformation of the public sphere, paying special attention to issues such as participation, witnessing, resistance, collaboration, creativity, and affect, among many others. Titles in the series are focused on high-quality, inclusive, and original research, in the form of monographs and edited collections, made accessible for a wide range of readers. The series editors particularly welcome proposals that challenge disciplinary boundaries to advance and refine contemporary definitions of citizen media.
