ABSTRACT
Ah, the simplicity of the serial comma. When we are children, lists are one of the first ways we learn to combine things—things to buy when we’re shopping, things to do or remember. We don’t have to ask for only one thing for breakfast or have only one reason to be able to get a dog. A pair is nice, but when we have three or more, only the serial or list comma will do.
