ABSTRACT
Rectifiers are phase-controlled a.c. to d.c. static power converters. The rectifier provides variable d.c. voltage to the d.c. brush motor. Thyristors, bipolar transistors, insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) or MOSFETs may be used as PESs in the converter.
